Styrofoam Cups versus Plastic Cups
QuikTrip (QT) now carries plastic and Styrofoam
cups. So the debate begins..
I went over to my brothers house for an envelope stuffing party. After finishing my QT drink and adding a can of Diet Coke to my Styrofoam cup, I have concluded that a Styrofoam cup can keep a drink alive and cold in Arizona on a summer day for hours and hours and hours. I promised to blog about Styrofoam so here we go.
Here is my take on disposable cups:
If I’m having a beer, please give me plastic.
Why? Isn’t that how they serve beer at parties? Other reasons…If I’m having a beer, I plan to drink it within a short period of time so temperature is not an issue. Finally, I don’t want my Nephew to think I’m drinking a soda and take a swig.
Back to soda.
My top two reasons for using Styrofoam cups is that Styrofoam doesn’t sweat like plastic and it keeps a cold drink ice cold for hours. A couple other reasons its cool to drink from Styrofoam cups are.. It’s invention was an accident and some cities in California have banned restaurants from using Styrofoam take out containers.
and look, cool cup art!
